SCREENING & SCHEDULING
How does everything work?
To get started, I require payment in full for your chosen package, and a questionnaire completed and returned.
The questionnaire will ask you details such as your consideration fees, your availability, your logins to the applicable websites where you may receive inquiries, etc.
If there are some questions you aren't sure how to answer or need advice regarding, I am happy to help. Please understand that I cannot work for you if you are indecisive and cannot come to a conclusion about all of the questions asked, as it leads to confusion and communication issues later on.
I welcome getting acquainted over the phone once payment is received, although it's not mandatory. In either case, I would still need the questionnaire completed so I can refer back to it when handling your inquiries and screening.
Do I need to be established for you to work with me?
The booking assistant package which includes screening and scheduling services makes sense if you are very busy with in-person client appointments, or too busy with your own personal commitments to handle your own inquires. If you are seeking to generate more bookings and inquiries, selecting one of my marketing packages would be to your advantage.
If you would like to use my booking services, all I ask is that you provide solid instructions regarding how to handle your screening and scheduling. I am unable to work with you if you are indecisive, erratic or unclear about your policies for potential clients. If you are unsure or need advice on certain things, please let me know. I am happy for us to come up with a plan together to ensure a smooth screening and booking process. I am easygoing and have no problem if you want to revise your booking requirements often; it happens and I understand that adjusting your business to suit your needs is part of the growth to success- I just need to be kept updated with any changes. Communication is the key to a long-term working relationship.
I will always treat you with the utmost respect, and I appreciate the same in return. I don't think twice about parting ways with anyone who is rude or verbally aggressive towards me.
Do you accommodate a commission option, instead of your weekly rate?
I do not take a commission per booking or per client you see, only a flat weekly or 4-weekly rate.
When you think about all the time you have saved on admin, and that time going towards seeing your clients instead, the weekly fee becomes insignificant in comparison to your weekly income!
If you don't work by commission, how do I know you will be motivated to answer my inquiries?
I've been asked this a couple of times and the answer for me is simple; I cherish consistent income, not how much money I can make.
I like knowing that I am usually booked up most weeks with enough to financially live and work from home. I like working from home because I have two young children and it's convenient for me. I like that I get paid upfront and don't have to wait until the end of the week, rounding up everyone for my paycheck. I like that I work my own hours and I don't have to answer emails 24/7 to make as many dollars as I can. The list goes on, but you get the picture. Not to mention, if you are paying anyone a flat fee for any kind of service instead of commission, they should naturally be motivated always, because the alternative is getting fired!
How many new clients can you get me?
Unfortunately, I cannot "get" you any clients, as I am an assistant, and not an agent or agency.
I work with your client base and inquiries.
I can certainly help you with maintaining your ads across different platforms, but I cannot promise X amount of bookings.
If you aren't established or looking for extra income without the financial risk of hiring me weekly, I would encourage purchasing my strategic marketing plan (one-time fee) to receive as much information needed to help you as an independent.
Will you reply to clients in my voice or as my assistant?
Whichever you prefer. Both options have their own pros and cons: being the assistant limits time wasters and those who expects free labor in the form of conversations and online chat, but being yourself may feel more authentic to clients.
Will you need direct access to my companion email account?
I don't "need" to, but it's far easier. If you prefer me to work from a separate "assistant" account, I can do so, although it can lead to more disruptions; such as needing to ask you if you have already seen a client, or if a certain advertisement platform does not accept third parties handling your correspondence.
How do you screen clients?
I can screen clients however you wish, in order for you to feel safe. If you are somewhat new, or always had an assistant or screener apply their own screening, please let me know. I can give you the methods that have worked well for myself and the companions I have worked for.
Please bear in mind that even if a client is successfully fully screened, there will always be a risk that they are not safe. Usually, the blacklist catches bad clients, in the case that they are already known in the industry. If they are a newbie client, I have no way of predicting their behavior.
Can you answer calls and texts, as well as emails?
I can answer texts, but not calls.
I do recommend removing your phone number, and keeping client inquiries through email only, to cut down on the timewasters and "you avail?" texts, but I am happy to accommodate, should you want to keep your phone number on display.
Please be mindful that adding a texting option to my packages would incur an additional fee; please see my pricing page for details.
Can you sign into my burner app to handle my text inquiries?
Yes, as long as the service provider you are using for texts has a website option which I can access on my computer and not only via phone!
Do you share client lists across all the companions you work for?
No. It's illegal to add email addresses to lists without recipients consent, nor do I have any desire to keep a client list.
I work by flat-fee only, and therefore there is no motivation for me to resort to those tactics because I do not make commission per client. It is pointless, extra unpaid work for me. I do offer newsletter creation services, but I do not need access to your client list unless you want me to mail it out, and I do not provide any client emails for you to add. The newsletter creation service is literally just creating an aesthetically pleasing, organized newsletter for you to email out.
When an agency or booker is working by commission, it is not unusual for them to share clients lists because they are taking a cut of your earnings, although of course I can't speak for all of them.

I may respond to client emails a little later than the above hours when time allows, to avoid email pile-up.
Unfortunately, my work schedule is not flexible at this time, due to other commitments.
I have taken my inflexibility into consideration, which is why my rates are very competitive compared to other assistants.
You are welcome to contact me during my non-work hours. It just means I may not reply until I am next working!
What if I receive client inquiries outside of your work hours?
I have no issue with you leaving the messages for me to respond to once I sign back in during my next working day. You are not obligated nor expected to reply to them for my benefit! If the inquiry is a last minute new potential client who you would like to accommodate at such short notice, you would need to be able to screen them yourself in order to not miss the booking.
How long will it take for you to respond to client inquiries?
Anywhere between immediately and an hour, although an hour delay is rare.
I prioritize email responses- so for example, if I have an influx of messages for potential last minute client bookings, I will respond to those first, over a potential client for another provider who wishes to book in two weeks time.
How will I know when you've booked in a client for me?
I would contact you via text or whatsapp to let you know I have scheduled a client into your google calendar. Please be sure to keep me updated with your availability, to ensure I do not arrange a client for when you are unavailable.
Do you require any of my personal information?
No. I don't need your legal name or other information, nor have the desire to know. Your business is your business, not mine! I have noticed that agencies or bookers ask for this information. Like an employee in any other industry, I do not need my employers details; I work for you, not the other way around.
What else do I need to know?
I encourage you to take a read through my fine print. This ensures we are on the same page before we begin working together.
Thank you!
